Note on digital accessibility
Access to suitable technologies can significantly support people with disabilities in organizing their everyday lives independently and participating in professional life. Digital services can make an important contribution to enabling participation and promoting an inclusive environment.
For this reason, our aim is to make our website as accessible as possible. In doing so, we are guided by the international guidelines for accessible web content (WCAG 2.1 - Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), which were developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Conformance level AA is the recommended standard for wide-ranging digital accessibility.
When further developing our digital offerings, one of the things we pay attention to is structuring content clearly - for example through a comprehensible headline hierarchy, easily recognizable contrasts and recurring page elements that are designed to be as user-friendly as possible. We are also working on implementing our web content in such a way that it can be used with different operating and output methods - for example using a keyboard or screen reader. Wherever possible, we also provide text alternatives for non-textual content, for example alternative texts for images or transcriptions for audiovisual media.
To further improve digital accessibility, we rely on a combination of automated testing procedures, external assessments and internal tests. Specialized testing tools and plug-ins are used regularly. We also work with external experts to incorporate additional perspectives and specialist expertise into the improvement process.
Despite all due care, it is possible that individual content or functions are not completely barrier-free. If you encounter any barriers or have any suggestions for improvement, we look forward to hearing from you - please contact us at: [info@unity.de].
We see digital accessibility as an ongoing task and an integral part of inclusive design. That is why we are constantly working to remove potential barriers and make our services accessible to as many people as possible.
